Just for pre-school-aged children, Pre-school Prehistorics includes hands-on songs and dinosaur patterns to make learning about dinosaurs fun and exciting. Students recreate the classic fairytale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears with a twist using the flannelboard patterns. Students enhance their critical thinking skills by finding what is different in the Visual Discrimination Activity; then, reinforcing the idea of time by discussing what objects are out of place with the dinosaur illustrations. Students then get their hands dirty as they recreate a dinosaurs environment in the sandbox with the Sandbox Dinosaur Landscape activity. Finally, students create their own dinosaur fossils with Fossil Making. This Primary Studies lesson provides a teacher and student section with illustrations, puzzles, big book, hands-on activities, and certificate to create a well-rounded lesson plan.
